When you’re in the business of dealing with cool office spaces, you tend to come across a few in your time – and, it’s fair to say, you won’t find many better than 54 South Molton Street – our WorkPad of the Month for April.

In celebration of this (and in celebration of cool workspaces in general), we’ve decided to feature our newest addition to the WorkPad portfolio as the first of many offices we’ll be shedding more light on in the coming months.

So, without further ado, here’s a little bit of  background information…

The Location

South Molton Street runs right through the heart of Mayfair – one of central London’s most famous districts.

Serviced office spaces in Mayfair are highly sought after, not just because of the convenient location, but also for the charm and sophistication of the area. Each street is lined with a variety of unique and contemporary buildings dating back centuries – and South Molton Street is certainly no different.

In fact, the office at 54 South Molton Street is part of a restored period building converted into offices – but don’t be fooled by the traditional exterior. Get inside the building and you’ll see that this space is a great example of modern office design at its finest (but we’ll get on to that later).

One of the best things about South Molton Street is that there’s no traffic. It’s a fully pedestrianised street.

You won’t spot, or hear a single vehicle from the office. All you’ll see from the window, or roof terrace is row after row of gorgeous boutiques, with local shoppers and office workers going about their day.

It’s a nice alternative from the typical central London office complex, where the noise pollution can sometimes be a problem.

However, the pedestrianised nature of the area doesn’t mean that it’s hard to reach – far from it, in fact. 54 South Molton Street is quite literally ‘down the road’ from Bond Street Station, which is conveniently perched at the top of the street.

Those that commute via bus aren’t disappointed, either. Oxford Street is along all the main London bus routes – all you need to do is hop off outside Bond Street Station and walk to the office from there.

Coffee, brunch, lunch, dinner – whatever you fancy, it’s easy to find it. Everything from the Flocafe Espresso Room to La Petite Maison is all within a short stroll from no. 54.

Which means you don’t have to keep all your meetings inside the office!

What facilities are available here?

The modern office suites available at 54 South Molton Street are spread over three floors. This includes five private, fully-furnished workspaces – each varying in size.

These are bright, white, and clean spaces that get plenty of natural light. It’s all about feeling fresh and energetic.

The first floor has two medium-sized office suites separated by a communal meeting room, while the middle floor has two larger offices with a kitchenette and toilet.

Moving up the stairs again, you’ll find another large office and bathroom – with a phone booth, where you can take private or even communal business calls if you need to.

Step out of the phone booth, and you’ll be greeted by 54 South Molton Streets’ centrepiece feature – the terrace.

With minimalistic furniture, this modern office design feature is set up to be a big hit as we come into the summer months. This will be a great place to work, socialise and enjoy the sun while it shines down on Mayfair.

Besides all the fancy stuff, 54 South Molton Street also benefits from the essentials. This includes daily cleaning, maintenance and IT support, and of course – super fast fibre internet over a private and secure network.
